HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR HISTORY

1907: Sam Dworkin arrives in New York with his wife and his tool box

1910: Morris Dworkin is the first of four sons born to Sam

1915: Sam Dworkin begins working for Harry Galsban

1918: Harry and Sam become partners and form Galsban & Dworkin

1920: Harry Galsban passes. Sam renames company Dworkin Construction

1931: Morris joins Sam after college graduation

1942: Larry Dworkin born, first grandson of Sam Dworkin

1964: Sam Dworkin retires. Larry Dworkin joins firm after college

1971: Steven Dworkin born January 23rd; Morris Dworkin passes March 1st

1977: Dworkin Construction begins building nationwide

1979: Dworkin builds out 79th, 80th, 81st floors at the original World Trade Center

1983: Dworkin converts Rye High School Auditorium to Performing Arts Center, raising roof three stories and creating stadium seating

1987: Dworkin builds out of ground

1988: Steven Dworkin begins internship during school breaks and summer vacation

1989: Dworkin builds state of the art 10 Multiplex Movie Theater

1992: Steven Dworkin joins Larry after college graduation

1994: Dworkin builds private air terminal at Marine Air Terminal LaGuardia Airport

1995: Dworkin builds multiple Hospital Projects for Bronx Lebanon Medical Center

1999: Dworkin moves offices to Midtown New York

2013: Aaron Geller, 11-year-old grandson, begins internship over school breaks

2015: Jared Geller, 11-year-old grandson, begins internship over school breaks…continuing the tradition

2018: Dworkin converts Manhattan Congregational Church Sanctuary with 50 ft domed atrium into a Design Within Reach showroom

2019: Krispy Kreme Doughnuts returns to New York City after more than 20 years… Dworkin builds 3 sites with onsite doughnut production in Harlem, the Upper West Side, and the South Bronx

2020: 100th Year Anniversary Party — Capital Grille, New York, NY February 15, 2020

2021: Henry Geller, 11-year-old grandson, begins internship over school breaks

2023: Dworkin builds out 20,000 sq. ft. offices for HNTB Infrastructure Engineering in the Park Square Landmark Building in Boston
